The Charitable Foundation named after Helena Roerich was established in 1998 to finance the programs for popularization the Roerichs' legacy (transferred by Svetoslav Roerich to The International Center of the Roerichs in 1990) and cultural programs working for spiritual revival of Russia's Peoples.
According to the Charter, the Foundation
Promotes in every way the development of the Public Museum by name of N.K. Roerich in Moscow
Puts emphasis on research and publication of Helena Roerich's works
Sponsors purchases of Nicholas and Svetoslav Roerichs' paintings to increase Museum's collection
Finances publications to perpetuate the memory of the Roerichs
Sets up special grants for researchers and publishers interested in the Roerichs' legacy
Institutes medal and prize for the best research work focused on the Roerichs' heritage
Supports cultural, educational, and enlightenment projects answering the Foundation's aims
Promotes artistic endeavour and sponsors art exhibitions
Initiates various undertakings in the field of culture and submit a proposal to public authorities
